Position Overview AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead site supervision activities for major bridge and infrastructure construction projects in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will oversee bridge structures, roadworks, drainage systems, utility networks, and associated civil engineering works. This position involves managing multidisciplinary supervision teams, reviewing contractor submissions, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager, contractors, clients, designers, and utility authorities, the Senior Resident Engineer will provide technical leadership, resolve construction issues, monitor project risks, and coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

• Lead site supervision activities for major bridge and associated infrastructure construction works.
• Oversee construction of bridge foundations, piling, abutments, piers, and retaining walls.
• Supervise bridge deck construction and installation of bearings, expansion joints, barriers, and associated structural elements.
• Monitor concrete works and other structural construction activities for compliance with approved specifications.
• Review construction methods and technical requirements relating to bridge structures.
• Identify structural construction issues and coordinate appropriate technical solutions.
• Ensure bridge works comply with approved engineering drawings, project requirements, and applicable quality procedures.

• Oversee road construction, earthworks, and associated civil infrastructure activities.
• Monitor stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation network construction.
• Coordinate supervision of electrical, telecommunications, and other utility infrastructure.
• Review construction interfaces between bridges, roads, drainage systems, and utility networks.
• Identify potential conflicts between infrastructure components and coordinate their resolution.
• Monitor the quality and progress of infrastructure construction activities.
• Ensure infrastructure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and technical specifications.

• Lead and coordinate Assistant Resident Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors, and other technical staff.
• Assign and monitor supervision responsibilities across relevant construction activities.
