VORTEXEN UAE is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator – Fire stopping to join its growing team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in passive fire protection estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and tender costing, with the ability to analyze technical drawings and project documents.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a growing construction team while supporting accurate project cost planning and commercial submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare cost estimates, commercial quotations, and tender submissions for fire stopping projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs using Plan Swift and analyze project drawings.
- Review AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, specifications, and construction documents.
- Identify fire stopping requirements from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Estimate material, labor, and installation costs for projects.
- Prepare detailed BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect and evaluate material quotations.
- Review project scope, variations, and commercial requirements.
- Work closely with project and technical teams to ensure accurate estimations.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Fire stopping or Passive Fire Protection estimation.
- Proficiency in Plan Swift and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of quantity surveying, quantity take-offs, and BOQ preparation.
- Knowledge of fire stopping materials, systems, and installation methods.
- Ability to interpret construction and MEP drawings.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- UAE construction industry experience will be an advantage.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available at short notice are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Passive Fire Protection estimation.
- Construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Tender costing and commercial calculations.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Related Discipline
