- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' dental and facial structures to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their aesthetic and functional goals.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies and diagnostic tools to effectively evaluate malocclusions and plan orthodontic procedures.
- Fit, adjust, and monitor a variety of orthodontic appliances, including braces and aligners, ensuring optimal patient comfort and treatment efficacy.
- Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and the importance of compliance during orthodontic treatment to ensure successful outcomes.
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school is essential.
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program, typically lasting 2-3 years, is required.
- Board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics or equivalent is preferred to demonstrate clinical expertise.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in orthodontics is desirable for effective patient care and treatment planning.
