Landscape Architect/Planting Design Specialist
Job — Landscape Architect, Planting Design Specialist
Are you passionate about ecosystems, biodiversity and nature-based design – and eager to help elevate SLA’s international projects with high-performing new nature? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for.
We are currently looking for a Landscape Architect, or the like, with a specialisation in planting design, to join our community of planting designers in our Copenhagen office.
The roleAs an International Planting Designer, you will develop plant strategies and concepts for projects across our global markets. You will navigate the complex interplay between biodiversity, plant communities, ecosystem services, and the aesthetic sense of nature – with designing specific habitats and planting systems as part of the nature-based design.
Above all, we value a deep understanding of – and commitment to – creating better conditions for all forms of life: plants, animals, and people.
About the team and cultureYou will become part of our international market and a cross-office professional community for planting designers with core expertise in nature-based planting design, implementation, and long-term maintenance. You will work closely with the project manager and the interdisciplinary colleagues on various projects: biologists, architects, landscape architects, and lighting designers. And together with clients, landscapers, gardeners, and nurseries, you will facilitate how the nature-based design will be realized.
SLA’s culture is defined by strong unity, constant curiosity, and high ambition—combined with a great degree of professional freedom. We work purposefully to deliver high-quality consultancy while fostering a rich professional community. The development of each employee – and of SLA as a whole – is an integrated part of our everyday practice.
