Architect-Design Coordinator; Site

The Design Coordinator will be reporting to Resident Engineer / Project Manager and responsible for coordinating all design-related activities between the Consultant's design team, the Client's design representatives, Contractors, and other project stakeholders. The role will ensure that design intent is properly communicated, design information is effectively managed, and design-related issues are resolved in a timely manner to support successful project delivery on site.

• Design Coordination
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all design-related coordination between the Consultant, Client, Contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Consultant's multidisciplinary design teams to ensure timely issuance and clarification of design information.
  • Liaise with the Client's design management team to facilitate design reviews, approvals, and responses.
  • Monitor design deliverables and ensure alignment with project requirements, schedules, and contractual obligations.
• Site Coordination
  • Attend regular site meetings and coordinate with Contractors regarding design-related matters.
  • Review site queries, Requests for Information (RFIs), material submissions, shop drawings, and design clarifications.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of design issues arising during construction.
  • Coordinate site inspections and meetings related to design implementation and quality compliance.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain effective communication among all project stakeholders to ensure smooth design integration and execution.
  • Organize and document design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
  • Track action items and ensure timely closure of design-related issues.
• Design Management & Documentation
  • Monitor design changes and ensure proper documentation, review, and approval processes are followed.
  • Maintain records of design correspondence, submissions, approvals, and revisions.
  • Assist in reviewing contractor submissions for compliance with project design requirements.
  • Support the preparation of design reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure that design implementation complies with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify potential design conflicts and coordinate timely resolutions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support quality assurance processes related to design coordination and construction activities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in design coordination, project coordination, or construction projects.
• Experience working on large-scale mixed-use, infrastructure, landscape, or building projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with design management processes and construction coordination.

• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong understanding of design and construction processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common design/document management platforms.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
