Senior Design Manager – Interiors

Job Purpose

Responsible for Interior Design functions through all stages of design in the generation of test fits research, design studies, documentation, FF&E, drafting, technical analysis and management as directed by the line manager.

Design Functions:

• Performing all interior design activities across various projects within the design team.
• Produce interior design packages for various projects from Pre Design to Detailed design.
• Generate internal research and benchmarking documents alongside team members and maintain all updates in relation.
• Prepare interior design presentations as required for various projects.
• Produce test fits for layouts, design collateral, presentations, and project timelines.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and approvals.
• Research and source high quality interiors products including bespoke items, fittings, soft furnishings, lighting, furniture, sanitary ware, pictures, and accessories to designer’s brief and as required by the project.
• Perform necessary coordination and review on mockups, show apartments, villas or units for final implementation on the ground.
• Be an expert with local vendors in relation to architectural and  to supplement any necessary information during the design and build process.
• Maintain a record of architectural and design consultants’ prequalification and updating.
• Prepare consultant and bidder lists based on research and technical analysis.

Compliance with Bloom Standards:

• Ensure compliance to Bloom processes for Architectural in house and design consultants’ work review, deviation monitoring and analysis and remedial actions.

Manage Relationships:

• Coordinating/managing multiple stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to build robust, long-term relationships and integrated teams
• Ensure regular meetings with Executive Director - Design and architects/Head of MEP Division to review standards and procedures and project related design issues

General Tasks:
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the line manager

Educational Requirements / Other Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design/Architecture with minimum 10 years of experience.

• A keen eye for details and proven expertise in space planning.
• Proven ability to produce accurate, concise, and aesthetically pleasing presentations.
• Proven UAE experience is essential, and candidate must have a good grasp of design considerations.
• Strong competency in use of design software’s – AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, MS Office.
