Our Multi National Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Interior Design Coordinator to join their team in Abu Dhabi working on a high profile branded residences development. Successful candidates will have strong Interior Design, Coordination experience and major project exposure in 5
* hotel, hospitality and mixed use high rise towers projects and have worked for a recognised consultancy company previously
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.
- Coordinate interior design activities across different project phases, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.
- Prepare, organize, and update interior design drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Act as a liaison between the design team, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Track project deliverables and deadlines, following up with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain sample libraries and stay up to date with current design trends, products, and materials.
- Assist in quality control by reviewing site installations to ensure adherence to design intent.
- Support in preparing documentation for authority approvals and tender processes.
- Manage and archive all design-related documentation systematically.
- Attend site meetings and design reviews, preparing minutes and follow-up action lists.
Experience:
- Education:
Bachelor in Interior Design, Architecture or related - Minimum 5 years of experience in design and project coordination, at least 2 years in the UAE
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office;
Revit knowledge is essential. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eye for detail and a solid understanding of interior design principles and materials.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local authority regulations and building codes is a plus.
