Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop master plans, structure plans, neighborhood plans, and urban development strategies.
- Conduct land use analysis, demographic studies, and socioeconomic assessments.
- Develop zoning regulations, planning policies, and development control guidelines.
- Perform site analysis, feasibility studies, and urban growth assessments.
- Coordinate with transportation, utilities, environmental, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated planning solutions.
- Prepare planning reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Review development applications and assess compliance with planning regulations and standards.
- Engage with stakeholders, government authorities, developers, and community representatives.
- Support planning approvals, permitting processes, and regulatory submissions.
- Utilize GIS and planning software for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Assess sustainability, resilience, and smart city initiatives within development projects.
- Monitor urban development trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate in public consultations and workshops.
- Provide recommendations on urban design, mobility, public realm, and community facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning.
- Master’s degree in urban planning or urban design is preferred.
- Professional membership with recognized planning institutions is an advantage (e.g., RTPI, APA, CIP, PIA).
- 3-10+ years of experience in urban planning, master planning, or development planning projects.
- Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, developers, or engineering consultants.
- Middle East/GCC project experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with urban planning regulations, zoning codes, and development standards.
- Understanding of transportation planning, infrastructure planning, and sustainability principles.
- Experience with data analysis, spatial modeling, and report preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing professional planning presentations, stakeholder reports, and public consultation materials.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop for presentation boards and visual communication.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Canva, or similar visualization tools is an advantage.
- Ability to create compelling presentations incorporating maps, GIS outputs, master plans, urban design concepts, infographics, and data-driven insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
- Project management and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
