- Diagnose medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and order further diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Counsel patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and collaborative patient care.
- Stay updated on medical research, new treatments, and advancements in internal medicine.
- Document patient information, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately.
- Educate medical students, interns, and residents on internal medicine practice.
- Adhere to ethical, regulatory, and legal standards in patient care.
