We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Hematologist to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in diagnosing and managing both benign and malignant hematologic disorders, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly qualified and culturally attuned Consultant Hematologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with hematologic disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage hematologic conditions, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma
- Manage hemophilia, sickle cell disease, and clotting disorders
- Oversee bone marrow biopsy procedures, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy regimens
- Collaborate with oncology, pathology, and radiology teams for integrated patient care
- Provide consultative services to inpatient and outpatient units
- Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
- Contribute to academic teaching and CME programs
- Certification:
Board-certified in Hematology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent). - Licensure: DOH (HAAD) license or eligibility required.
- Experience:
Minimum 5 years post-specialization in a tertiary or academic hospital setting. - Proven expertise in both benign and malignant hematologic conditions.
- Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills.
