To provide specialized services to patients for the diagnosis & management of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases, including coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, valvular interventions, and stem cell biology applications.

• Provide consultation services to inpatients in the area of cardiology.
• Oversee operation of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, including ongoing training of technicians.
• Oversee operation of invasive & non-invasive cardiac diagnostic laboratories (ECG, TEE, stress test, 2D echo, cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty).
• Provide on‑call emergency coverage for cardiology emergencies, including primary angioplasty / stenting, emergency pericardiocentesis, balloon valvotomies, and IABP insertion.
• Provide care to in-patients admitted under your care.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and administrative matters.
• Demonstrate dependability in carrying out commitments and obligations of the position.

• Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Cardiology or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or equivalent).
• At least five (5) years of practice as an interventional cardiologist as a licensed specialist.
• Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.
• Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license as a specialist interventional cardiologist to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with co‑workers, superiors, patients & families.
