Danat Al Emarat is a world‑class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full‑fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high‑risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

We are seeking a Consultant Neonatologist (Tier
1) to join our expert team. You will lead the delivery of specialized neonatal care, manage high‑risk deliveries, and provide comprehensive treatment for premature and critically ill babies in a busy, high‑volume clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical leadership in the Level III NICU, ensuring evidence‑based care for neonates.
  • Manage high‑risk deliveries and support high‑risk pregnancies in collaboration with obstetric teams.
  • Diagnose and treat complex neonatal conditions, overseeing resuscitation and stabilization.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with DOH standards, hospital protocols, and international best practices.
  • Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialist certification in Neonatology.
  • Tier 1 Consultant status as per DOH PQR requirements.
  • DOH registration as Consultant Neonatologist (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Level III NICU, managing premature and critically ill babies.
  • Proven ability to lead in high‑pressure, high‑volume environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
