Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnostics of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that include both surgical and non-surgical options.
- Conduct advanced surgical procedures, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques to promote faster recovery.
- Oversee pre-operative and post-operative patient management, ensuring effective outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-surgical care to facilitate recovery.
- Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance clinical practices.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and outcomes.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a reputable and accredited institution.
- Completed residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- Current and valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in gastrointestinal surgical practice.
- Strong proficiency in performing a range of surgical procedures, particularly laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to gastrointestinal conditions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Dedication to ongoing education and professional development in the field of surgery.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
