Search Plus HR is an esteemed recruitment agency dedicated to filling vital roles in the healthcare sector. We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Consultant in Cardiac Surgery within a Government Healthcare Group.

This role involves providing specialized surgical care for patients with cardiac disorders as part of a respected government health institution. The successful candidate will be a key player in enhancing healthcare delivery and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostics for patients presenting with cardiac issues.
  • Perform a range of cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgeries, and transplant surgery.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Oversee pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for effective patient recovery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects within the healthcare group.
  • Provide education and mentorship to surgical residents and junior physicians in cardiac surgical techniques and patient management.
Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. with board certification in cardiac surgery.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in clinical cardiac surgery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cardiac pathophysiology and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proven aptitude for managing complex surgical cases and making critical clinical decisions.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and staying current with advancements in cardiac surgery.
  • Experience in academic settings, including teaching roles, is preferable.
