A leading government hospital in the UAE is seeking highly qualified Consultant Emergency Medicine physicians (Adult and/or Pediatric).
The role involves delivering high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, aligned with international best practices and local regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert emergency medical care to adult and/or pediatric patients presenting with acute and life-threatening conditions
Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of emergency cases
Lead and supervise emergency department clinical teams, including residents and nursing staff
Perform and oversee emergency procedures in line with scope of practice
Collaborate closely with specialty consultants, ICU teams, and allied health professionals
Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
Support teaching, mentoring, and training of junior medical staff
Adhere to UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies
RequirementsRequirements
Medical Degree from an accredited institution
Western Board Cerification in Emergency Medicine
Adult Emergency Medicine and/or
Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Eligible for UAE Consultant licence (DOH / DHA / MOH, depending on emirate)
Minimum 3–5 years’ post-board experience at Consultant level
Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency setting
Preferred QualificationsFellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (for pediatric role)
Previous experience working in tertiary or teaching hospitals
International healthcare experience (US / Canada / UK / Ireland / Australia preferred)
