The Pediatric Radiotherapy Consultant provides specialist care for patients requiring radiation treatment for cancer and selected non-malignant conditions. The role focuses on assessing patients, developing individualized radiotherapy treatment plans, overseeing treatment delivery, managing treatment-related side effects, and monitoring patient outcomes. The consultant works closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and other multidisciplinary specialists to support accurate treatment planning and high-quality patient care.

Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP – Radiation Oncology)
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-board/equivalent certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland (CCST), United Kingdom (CCT) Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden OR Switzerland,
- Sub-Specialties:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-sub-specialty certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the UK.
- Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
- Current BLS/ACLS Certificate
- Interpret pediatric imaging studies including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
- Diagnose congenital, developmental, infectious, traumatic, and oncologic conditions in children
- Perform and supervise pediatric imaging protocols tailored to age, weight, and clinical condition
- Provide specialized imaging interpretation for neonatal and fetal conditions when required
- Support interventional and diagnostic planning in collaboration with pediatric specialists
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including pediatric oncology, surgery, and neonatology
- Provide guidance on appropriate imaging modalities and protocols for referring clinicians
- Perform or assist with image-guided procedures in pediatric patients when applicable
- Maintain accurate reporting and timely communication of critical findings
- Contribute to quality assurance, imaging audits, and protocol development
- Supervise radiology trainees and support teaching in pediatric imaging
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and radiology governance frameworks
