Position OverviewA leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Gastroenterologist with American Board certification to join its specialist medical team.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Manage complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up.
Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and departmental activities.
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE clinical and regulatory standards.
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
American Board Certification in Gastroenterology, preferably through an ABMS-recognized board.
Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
Current professional registration/licence and Good Standing Certificate.
Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification, subject to final PQR and regulatory authority assessment. The current UAE PQR recognizes American Board certifications issued by ABMS as Tier 1 qualifications for physicians.
