A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Anesthesiologist to join its anesthesia and perioperative care team. The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia services across a range of surgical and procedural specialties and contribute to comprehensive perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care according to clinical expertise and patient requirements
- Monitor patients throughout surgical and procedural interventions and manage intraoperative complications
- Provide post-anesthesia care and ensure appropriate pain management and patient recovery
- Manage airway emergencies and participate in resuscitation and critical care support when required
- Assess and optimize patients with complex medical conditions prior to surgery
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Perform anesthesia-related procedures within the scope of clinical privileges
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and patient-safety standards
- Participate in emergency and on-call duties as required
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives
- Support teaching, supervision, and professional development of junior medical staff
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology / Anaesthesia
- Eligibility for or a valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant or Specialist licence, as applicable
- Relevant post-specialization clinical experience appropriate to the applied position
- Strong experience in perioperative and anesthesia management
- Current Good Standing Certificate and verifiable professional credentials
- Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills
