Requirements Education Board certified or MD in Psychiatry as minimum
Duration and type of Experience
Experience of 3 years after Board with recent hospital setting experience
Clinical Responsibilities
Specific Duties including but not limited to Provide psychiatric care within the scope of credentialing and privileges
Examine diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders
Prepare and review case histories and clinical records
Request and interpret psychiatric tests
Prescribe and administer medications
Address adverse effects of psychiatric medications
Coordinate inpatient transfers or admit manage low-acuity patients when staffing allows
Provide liaison consultations for other department

Education:
Board certified or MD in Psychiatry License - DOH/DHA licensed or DOH passer or DOH exam exempted preferred
