The Radiologist is responsible for interpreting medical imaging studies, providing accurate diagnostic reports, performing image-guided procedures where applicable, and collaborating with referring physicians to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

• Interpret and report diagnostic imaging examinations, including:
  • X-rays
  • Ultrasound
  • CT scans
  • MRI
  • Mammography, where applicable
  • Fluoroscopy and other specialized imaging
• Perform and/or supervise image-guided procedures according to qualifications and hospital protocols.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and clinically relevant radiology reports.
• Discuss significant or urgent findings with referring physicians and clinical teams.
• Review patient history and relevant clinical information before interpreting examinations.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, including appropriate radiation protection practices.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical case discussions as required.
• Work closely with radiographers, radiology technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, clinical audits, and continuing medical education.
• Follow applicable hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on advances in diagnostic imaging, radiology technology, and evidence-based practice.

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification in Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology, such as MD, DNB, FRCR, or equivalent, as applicable.
• Valid professional medical license/registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Appropriate specialist/consultant licensing and credentialing where required.
• Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic radiology.

• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of medical imaging techniques and interpretation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to prioritize urgent and complex cases.
• Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems.
• Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

• Hospital or diagnostic imaging center environment.
• May involve participation in on-call, emergency, or after-hours radiology services.
• Regular interaction with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
