On-site Position Overview A leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Consultant in Neurocritical Care to provide specialized treatment for critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The position involves managing life‑threatening neurological emergencies, advanced neurological monitoring, and intensive care treatment within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

The successful candidate will have recognized specialist or consultant qualifications in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, or Neurocritical Care, along with significant post‑specialization experience managing patients with severe neurological disorders. The role requires advanced clinical decision‑making, expertise in neurological intensive care, and eligibility for professional licensing through the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH).

• Diagnose and manage life‑threatening neurological conditions, including acute stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, and status epilepticus.
• Provide specialist neurocritical care for patients requiring advanced neurological monitoring and intensive care interventions.
• Assess neurological function, interpret diagnostic investigations, and monitor changes in patients with critical neurological conditions.
• Manage airway support, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic stability in critically ill neurological patients.
• Monitor and manage intracranial pressure and cerebral perfusion to support appropriate neurological treatment.
• Participate in the management of patients following neurosurgical procedures and those admitted with severe neurotrauma.
• Coordinate treatment with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical rounds, emergency response activities, and complex neurological case discussions.
• Support evidence‑based clinical protocols for acute stroke, neurotrauma, intracranial hypertension, and other critical neurological disorders.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, teaching activities, and medical research.

• MBBS, MD, or an equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized specialist or consultant qualification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, or Neurocritical Care.
• Additional fellowship or formal training in Neurocritical Care is highly desirable.
• Valid Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) medical license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate license.
• Significant post‑specialization experience managing patients with complex neurological emergencies and critical neurological conditions.
• Strong understanding of advanced neurological monitoring and intensive care practices.
• Ability to make informed clinical decisions in complex and rapidly changing neurological emergencies.
• Effective communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Candidate with experience managing acute neurological emergencies and applying advanced neurocritical care techniques will be particularly relevant to this position.
