- Provide consultant-level assessment and management of patients with infectious diseases
- Diagnose and treat complex bacterial viral fungal and parasitic infections
- Manage antimicrobial therapy and participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs
- Provide consultation for inpatient and outpatient infectious disease cases
- Support the management of sepsis and other serious infectious conditions
- Advise on infection prevention isolation precautions and outbreak management
- Collaborate with microbiology and laboratory teams regarding cultures susceptibility testing and diagnostic investigations
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings and case discussions
- Provide guidance on infection control policies and healthcare-associated infections
- Contribute to education and training of residents specialists nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and UAE healthcare regulations
- Participate in clinical audits quality improvement initiatives research and continuing medical education
- Provide on-call or emergency consultation services as required by the hospital
- Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Infectious Diseases and/or Internal Medicine.
- Appropriate consultant-level certification recognized by the relevant UAE health authority.
- Valid eligibility/licensure with the applicable UAE regulatory authority, DOH Abu Dhabi,.
- Relevant consultant-level clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary-care.
- Experience in antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control is desirable
- Experience managing complex and immunocompromised patients is an advantage.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification, where required by the facility.
