Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Statistics and Data Science. The role involves high‑quality instruction, mentoring graduate students, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of statistics, data science, and AI.

• Teach courses in statistics, data science, and related fields at undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels.
• Mentor graduate students and provide research supervision.
• Develop and refine curriculum to align with the department’s mission.
• Conduct cutting‑edge research in theoretical and applied statistics, particularly in statistical learning theory, high‑dimensional statistics, causal inference, uncertainty quantification, fairness, and interpretability in AI.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, government agencies, and research institutions on AI‑driven solutions.
• Publish research findings in top venues and secure external funding.

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or expected completion by Fall 2026).
• Strong potential in both theoretical and applied statistics.
• Demonstrated or promising research record in statistical learning, data science, or related areas.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills.
• Experience or interest in interdisciplinary work involving AI and domain sciences.
