Teacher - Mathematics - Bateen World Academy (AY 2026/2027)

Aldar Academies are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics for Bateen World Academy commencing in the  academic year.

Located in the centre of Abu Dhabi, Bateen World Academy is a highly regarded British and IB World School, recognised for its high academic performance and outstanding I/GCSE and IB Diploma results. The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from FS1 to Year 6, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career‑related Programme (CP) in Years 12 and 13.

• Plan outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy, including creating a climate for learning, setting clear objectives, targets, and differentiating for SEN, EAL and G&T students.
• Provide clear lesson structure and activity planning that maintains pace, challenge and engagement.
• Use assessment for learning, performance data and key indicators to inform planning and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Utilise ICT to enhance learning and progress.
• Maintain discipline following the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy and encourage punctuality, good behaviour, standards and homework completion.
• Assess learning objectives, improve teaching and mark student work at least every two weeks in line with the marking policy.
• Record and track student progress, using data to inform planning.
• Undertake assessment of students as requested by exam bodies, department and school procedures.
• Prepare informative reports to parents and attend parent/student events.
• Contribute to subject development by reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
• Keep subject knowledge current through CPD and professional reading.
• Lead or support one after‑school activity each term as part of the school’s CAS Programme.
• Serve as Academic Mentor and extended‑essay supervisor to Year 12/13 students.
• Participate in the staff duty rota, cover for absent colleagues, and invigilate examinations as required.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Principal.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

• At least 2 years of teaching experience.

• Exemplary teaching ability across a range of abilities.
• Experience teaching in more than one international school and with IB and I/GCSE curricula.
• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.
