Abu Dhabi University (ADU) offers internationally benchmarked undergraduate and postgraduate programs and is a leading center of academic excellence in the region, with over 6,000 students from more than 60 nationalities.

The College general education courses for all undergraduate students and selected programs such as BA in Mass Communication, Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Teaching, MSc in Special Education, and MEd in Educational Leadership.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced academic to teach in the General Education program across our campuses in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai.

• Teach courses offered by the General Education program in the candidate's specialization.
• Conduct regular course updates and assist in developing new programs and courses.
• Deliver professional development sessions and actively participate in departmental and college events.
• Provide student consultation and mentoring.
• Conduct academic research and publish papers annually in peer‑reviewed journals.

• Completed Ph.D. in Sociology (or closely related field) from an accredited institution.
• Three years of academic experience at an accredited higher education institution after Ph.D. completion.
• Knowledge of Blackboard Ultra and educational technology apps; experience with AI educational apps is an advantage.
• Active research record with publications (Scopus preferred).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred.

The position is full‑time and the selected candidate is expected to join in February 2025.
