Job Description :
We are seeking a qualified and experienced History Teacher to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge our students. You will be teaching a range of history topics to students aged 11-18, including but not limited to world history, Middle Eastern history, and Islamic history.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging history lessons to students aged 11-18
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, cultural awareness, and global citizenship
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive history curriculum
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, such as field trips and clubs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible learning experience for students
- Stay up-to-date with current educational practices and trends in history education
- Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related field
- Teaching certification or license from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching history at the secondary level
- Experience teaching in an international school or diverse cultural setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of history curriculum and teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in using technology in the classroom
- Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Arabic is a plus
