Overview
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a UAE National Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Aldar family of schools and help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group. In addition to the broad academic curriculum, our daily routine offers opportunities for pupils to explore talents in fine arts, performing arts, music, sport, and other activities such as gymnastics, golf, horse riding, and debating. We are looking for first-class educators to join our vibrant team and work with us in our pursuit of excellence.
Responsibilities Classroom Support- Work with groups or individuals to support learning across the curriculum.
- Use school policies and methods to help pupils (e.g., phonics, math strategies).
- Record pupil activities and assist with administrative tasks like preparing resources, setting up the classroom, and creating displays.
- Encourage independence by questioning, modeling, and supporting personal organization and hygiene.
- Build positive relationships with pupils through meaningful communication, enthusiasm, patience, and respect.
- Supervise pupils during breaks, school trips, transitions, and specialist lessons.
- Manage behavior positively and act as a role model.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure effective communication and lesson preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Be proactive in seeking support or training for personal development.
- Report concerns about pupils to the class teacher.
- Stay flexible and contribute actively to the school community.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor Degree
- Past experience in an education environment is desirable
- UAE National Role
- To be able to develop positive working relationships with all members of the school community from children to teaching staff to administrative staff to parents.
- To be able to use initiative, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
- To be able to support children in all aspects of school life and help them to become independent learners.
