This role is an urgent requirement, and so you will be able to start immediately or within the next few weeks will be teaching Psychology to secondary age students through the UK curriculum up to A Level.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and teach high quality lessons across the curriculum taking into account individual children’s needs.
- Provide a dynamic curriculum which values active learning, exploration and inclusion.
- Commitment to lead engaging and enriching Co‑Curricular activities.
- Actively supervise children through duties at break times and lunch times.
- Attend all CPD, parents’ evenings and meetings as needed.
- Involve themselves fully in the school community and, as such, must be prepared to attend occasions such as community events, concerts and plays across the school.
- Maintain good discipline at all times in accordance with school rules, and to use the School’s behaviour systems consistently.
- Use the principles of Assessment for Learning (AfL) to ensure all children make progress.
- Follow all School policies consistently including, assessment, marking, teaching & learning, behaviour, safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a PGCE OR a Bachelors in Education in Psychology.
- Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification teaching experience at relevant age range.
- Experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum school, preferably in an independent school context.
- Previous international teaching experience, particularly within the Middle East, would be an advantage.
- Proven track record of excellence in an education setting.
- Be able to provide a relevant and up to date police check and references.
