Social Worker; UAE National

Al Ain American School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being, working closely with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership to promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work
• Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi (DCD) License as a Social Worker.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Social Worker or in a student support role, preferably within a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and student welfare practices.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their emotional, social, and behavioral development.
• Identify, assess, and address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs in collaboration with teachers and school leadership.
• Develop and implement student support plans and interventions aligned with school policies and best practices.
• Work closely with parents to support student wellbeing and address concerns effectively.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student cases in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements.
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment that supports student wellbeing and positive behavior.
• Support the implementation of safeguarding and child protection policies and report concerns in accordance with school procedures.
• Collaborate with staff to promote positive behavior management and student welfare across the school.
• Contribute to wellbeing programs, awareness sessions, school events, and initiatives that support students’ holistic development.
• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of students always.
