Overview

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for Postdoctoral Associate positions in mathematical analysis and partial differential equations (PDEs). Candidates with a background in theoretical physics, fluid mechanics, kinetic theory, dispersive equations or harmonic analysis will be given special attention.

• Magnetohydrodynamics and the mathematical theory of plasmas.
• Collisional kinetic models and their hydrodynamic limits.
• Dispersive phenomena in kinetic theory.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in mathematics, physics or a related field and have an outstanding academic record.

• Transcript of PhD degree or, if the degree has not yet been formally awarded, evidence of completion of the degree requirements and expected conferral date.
• A brief research statement detailing the applicant's scientific interests, accomplishments and future research strategies.
