Overview
Secondary female English teacher needed in Abu Dhabi for an August 2026 start. Interviews will take place online from January 2026.
This KG to Grade 12 private English-medium international school is looking for an English teacher to join for this academic year.
Requirements- Degree in your teaching subject
- Valid teaching license
- Clean police clearance / criminal record check
- At least two years post-qualifying experience due to Ministry regulations
- Must be able and willing to work in a 100% ESL learning environment
- American Curriculum experience (Common Core preferred) is valued
- Ability to demonstrate a strong academic background in content knowledge
- Collaborative and collegial approach
- Data-driven instruction and assessment literacy
- Skilled at differentiating and engaging students
- Proficient in using effective instructional strategies and technology
- Note:
This is not a western expatriate school; many students are local from the UAE.
The school combines the US core standards curriculum with a delivery through the philosophy of IB, without the explicit scope and sequence. The aim is to blend traditional American text-based instruction with a student-centred approach. Advanced Placement courses are available, and the goal is to eventually attain IB world school status while retaining the American element so students can graduate with a US diploma and, if eligible, an IB diploma as well.
