Nursery Principal

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Nursery Principal to lead the establishment and overall management of our newly opening nursery in accordance with the standards and regulations set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The Nursery Principal will be responsible for ensuring high-quality early childhood education, safeguarding children’s wellbeing, and maintaining full compliance with ADEK policies and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall management and daily operations of the nursery.
• Ensure the nursery operates in full compliance with ADEK policies, licensing requirements, and early childhood education standards.
• Implement and monitor a high-quality Early Years curriculum that supports children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
• Lead the recruitment, training, supervision, and professional development of nursery staff in line with ADEK requirements.
• Ensure effective child safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing practices throughout the nursery.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and the wider community, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
• Oversee administrative, financial, and operational procedures including staff management, enrolment, and record keeping.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s holistic development.
• Lead the nursery through ADEK inspections, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience as a Nursery Principal, Nursery Manager, or similar role within an early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of ADEK regulations, policies, and early years frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding, health and safety standards, and early childhood development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
• Passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care.
