As a Food Technology Teacher at International Community School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons aligned with the UK curriculum. You will inspire students to explore nutrition, food preparation, and food science while maintaining the highest standards of kitchen safety and hygiene within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform teaching
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning
- Establish positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates on student progress
- Participate in school activities, events, and professional development initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant degree with PGCE and QTS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching in a primary school setting (UK curriculum experience preferred)
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of primary education practices
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- ADEK-approved teacher is an advantage
