Position: Teacher - Inclusion - Bateen World Academy - UAEN (AY26/27)

Aldar Education is seeking a UAE National Inclusion Teacher for Bateen World Academy to start in Academic Year 26/27 to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Bateen World Academy is located in the center of Abu Dhabi and is a popular school within a vibrant community. The school is a high‑achieving British and IB World School.

Responsibilities

Main Duties
  • Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and other members of the school community.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly.
  • Work with parents to ensure student happiness and best academic outcomes.
  • Cooperate with curriculum support staff to support children’s development.
Specific Duties Teaching and Learning
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the curriculum.
  • Organise classroom provision and learning resources, creating displays that encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.
  • Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
  • Meet with other professionals such as speech & language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
  • Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data
  • Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
  • Meet assessment and recording requirements using Target Tracker.
  • Use data from assessments to inform further planning, provision and intervention.
  • Provide feedback to parents and carers on a student’s progress at Parent‑Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behaviour Management and Duties
  • Follow the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Manage classes effectively using approaches that are appropriate to students’ needs, inspiring, motivating and challenging pupils.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority and act decisively when necessary within the behavioural policy.
  • Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils.
  • Hold high expectations of behaviour, promoting self‑control and independence of all learners.
  • Carry out duties as directed and in accordance with school policy.
Wider Professional Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources and special events.
  • Support the organisation and participation in school events, outings and activities that may take place on weekends or evenings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well‑being using school systems/processes such as CPOMS as appropriate.
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school and run a weekly ECA each term.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
  • 1‑2 years of teaching experience.
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration for the well‑being of children.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background.
  • A positive and solution‑focused attitude towards work life.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
