E-Learning Coordinator
Responsibilities
Ensure courses taught using e‑Learning approaches include approved Common Core US Curriculum and/or Ministry of Education curriculum content standards taught and assessed in English Language Arts, Science (NGSS), Mathematics, Arabic, UAE and Islamic Studies with fidelity.
Provide e‑Learning curriculum and instructional leadership in the selected content area, including system‑wide and building efforts to review and improve curriculum during the curriculum review process.
Work with National and American Curriculum Heads on development and approval of e‑Learning in appropriate Advanced Placement courses with College Board.
Coordinate with IB Coordinators on e‑Learning strategies to deliver curriculum content included in DP, PYP and MYP courses and planners.
Provide appropriate e‑Learning professional development and format student assessments for use in the programs.
Coordinate subject‑specific data‑analysis team meetings to support data‑driven decision making that improves academic attainment and growth.
Collaborate with staff to develop podcasts, wikis, video casting, distance learning, e‑Learning credit recovery, virtual field trips and other programming.
Assure alignment and consistency in the e‑Learning delivery of English Language Arts, Science (NGSS), Mathematics, Arabic, UAE and Islamic Studies across grade levels in concert with IB planners and approved instructional programs.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher with an undergraduate major in an associated content area (ICT, Computer Science, etc.); a Master’s degree preferred.
- A Master’s degree may substitute for a content‑area major if awarded in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Instruction, or Research.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in ICT, English Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, Arabic, UAE, or Islamic Studies.
- Experience and use of e‑Learning in standards‑based teaching approaches.
- Knowledge and experience in using Common Core, including NGSS, and/or UAE National Curriculum Standards.
- Experience working with departments prior to and during external authorization and accreditation processes (MOE, ADEK, KHDA, Advanc Ed, IBO, ECIS).
- Ability to complete ICDL and Microsoft
365 training modules within 2months. - Native English speaking with excellent oral and written communication skills (IELTS
6.5 or higher). - Proven track record in change and improvement leadership.
- Demonstrated effective use of technology to support e‑Learning across the content area.
- Experience producing and demonstrating e‑Learning content, lesson delivery, and coaching teachers.
- Experience with e‑Learning techniques/strategies in standards‑based assessment practices for students and adults.
- Experience using data‑driven instruction practices to assess and inform instruction and evaluate content programs.
- Experience planning, delivering, conducting, and evaluating professional development for e‑Learning programs.
- Experience conducting limited research studies in the content area.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Experience in coaching, supervising, and evaluating teachers.
- Experience working with non‑school‑based heads of departments and administrators.
- Knowledge of IB programs at all levels.
