Teaching Assistant

Overview

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant. The position is open to UAE National candidates.

• Minimum education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Minimum experience:
  
  Past experience in an educational environment is desirable
• Knowledge and skills:
  Familiarity with school policies, phonics, and maths strategies
• UAE National (required)

• Develop positive working relationships with all members of the school community, including children, staff, and parents.
• Use initiative, remain flexible, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Support children in all aspects of school life and help them become independent learners.
• Provide classroom support: work with groups or individuals to support learning across the curriculum, record pupil activities, assist with administrative tasks such as preparing resources, setting up the classroom, and creating displays.
• Encourage independence by questioning, modelling, and supporting personal organization and hygiene.
• Build positive relationships with pupils through meaningful communication, enthusiasm, patience, and respect.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, school trips, transitions, and specialist lessons, and manage behaviour positively while acting as a role model.
• Collaborate professionally with the class teacher to ensure effective communication and lesson preparation, maintain confidentiality, seek support or training for personal development, and report concerns about pupils to the teacher.
• Stay flexible and contribute actively to the school community.
