Aldar Academies is currently seeking a Teacher – Mathematics at Yas American Academy on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, starting March 2026.

ResponsibilitiesTeaching and learning
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Curriculum for effective implementation to match learning outcomes.
- Teach using appropriate syllabus, materials, and schemes of work to develop students’ skills in mathematics.
- Organise classroom provision and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Plan lessons and sequences of lessons consistently and effectively, in the long, medium and short‑term, to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.
- Create a climate for learning that is conducive to delivering outstanding practice.
- Motivate students by delivering enjoyable and creative lessons that both challenge pupils and promote critical thinking.
- Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and ensure student achievement against these.
- Reflect on classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjust environment, planning and curriculum accordingly.
- Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students and ensure that their needs are met through differentiation.
- Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face‑to‑Face lessons.
- Follow the school’s established policies and procedures, e.g., behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding policy.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively, when necessary, within the school’s established policies.
- Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils.
- Hold high expectations of good conduct, promoting self‑control and independence of all learners.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment that allows for appropriate social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
- Carry out duties as directed and within the school’s established policies.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
