Teacher – ICT (Virginia American School, Abu Dhabi)
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher – ICT, commencing August 2026.

Responsibilities- Build positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Work flexibly, liaising with colleagues and curriculum support staff where applicable.
- Support children’s development cooperatively.
- Possess a clear understanding of the curriculum.
- Organise classroom provision and learning resources, creating displays to encourage a positive, engaging environment.
- Plan, prepare and present sessions that cater for the whole ability range.
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
- Meet requirements for assessment and recording student development using Target Tracker.
- Use assessment data to inform further planning, provision and intervention.
- Provide feedback to parents and carers at Parent‑Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
- Follow the school’s behaviour policy.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches appropriate to students’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Carry out duties as directed within the school’s policy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.
- Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- High level of professionalism and consideration of children’s well‑being.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community, irrespective of position, gender, age or ethnic background.
- Positive, solution‑focused attitude to work life.
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
