Responsibilities- To deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Show teamwork and collaboration.

- Develop positive relationships with all school community members.
- Plan engaging lessons with fellow teachers that meet curriculum requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and work flexibly.
- Work with parents to ensure the happiness and best academic outcomes for all children.
- Cooperate with curriculum support staff to support student development.
- Clear understanding of the curriculum.
- Organise classroom provision, learning resources, and displays to encourage a positive and engaging environment.
- Plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the full ability range within the class.
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
- Reflect on classroom provision, sessions taught, and progress, adjusting the environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
- Meet with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.
- Embed Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
- Meet assessment and recording requirements using Target Tracker.
- Use data from assessments to influence further planning, provision, and intervention.
- Provide feedback to parents and caretakers on student progress during Parent‑Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
- Follow the school’s behaviour policy.
- Manage classes effectively using appropriate approaches for students’ needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
- Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the policy.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of pupils.
- Hold high expectations of behaviour, promoting self‑control and independence of all learners.
- Carry out duties as directed and within the school’s policy.
- Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events.
- Support and take part in school events, outings, and activities that may take place at weekends or evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents/caretakers about student achievements and well‑being using systems such as CPOMS.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- Run a weekly ECA each term.
Minimum qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
Minimum experience:
1–2 years of teaching experience.
- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well‑being of children.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
- Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age, and ethnic background.
- A positive and solution‑focused attitude toward working life.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or police check.
