Job PurposeThe Humanities Teacher of Global Politics, History, and Psychology embodies the school’s ethos of excellence, inquiry, and global citizenship. The teacher delivers engaging, concept-driven instruction that develops students’ critical thinking, analytical writing, and understanding of global systems, historical developments, and human behaviour. Through innovative and student‑centred teaching, the teacher ensures learners build strong academic foundations, intellectual curiosity, and the skills required for success in higher education and beyond.

Key Accountabilities- Deliver high-quality teaching in Global Politics, History, and Psychology
- Inspire students to engage with global issues, historical inquiry, and psychological theory
- Promote respect, critical thinking, empathy, and academic integrity
- Apply strong subject knowledge to develop analytical and evaluative skills
- Integrate ICT and modern learning technologies
- Plan lessons based on student needs, abilities, and learning styles
- Encourage independent research and inquiry-based learning
- Promote academic writing excellence
- Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress
- Contribute to Humanities curriculum development
- Support extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning
- Deliver schemes of work aligned with IB curricula
- Teach Politics, History, and Psychology with clarity and depth
- Set, mark, and assess essays, source analysis, and research tasks
- Differentiate instruction for EAL, SEN, and high-achieving students
- Promote academic honesty and research skills
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Maintain accurate records of progress and attainment
- Use formative and summative assessment to track progress
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve writing and evaluation
