Overview
ADNOC Schools is currently seeking high-performing Elementary Classroom Teachers for an August 2026 start. The position is based in ADNOC School Madinat Zayed Campus, Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities- Creating a climate for learning that supports outstanding practice.
- Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives.
- Setting tasks that challenge students and ensure high levels of interest.
- Setting appropriate and demanding expectations.
- Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment.
- Identifying SEN or very‑able students and ensuring their needs are met through differentiation.
- Providing clear structures for lessons, maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge.
- Making effective use of assessment for learning.
- Using performance data and key indicators to inform planning and deliver differentiated lessons.
- Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy and encouraging good practice with regard to punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homework.
- Using a variety of teaching strategies: matching the approach to content, structuring information, presenting key ideas, using appropriate vocabulary, effective questioning, listening to students, addressing errors and misconceptions, selecting appropriate learning resources, and developing study skills through the library, ICT, and other learning technologies.
- Assessing the achievement of learning objectives and using the results to improve teaching.
- Marking students’ work at least once every two weeks and setting targets for progress.
- Using performance data to inform planning and ensuring ongoing learning and teaching add value.
- Assessing and recording students’ progress systematically, monitoring strengths and areas for development, and recognizing achievement levels.
- Assessing students as requested by examination bodies, departmental and school procedures.
- Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents.
- Participating in subject development by producing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and work schemes.
- Keeping subject knowledge up to date through CPD and professional reading.
- Attending professional development workshops as appropriate.
- Undertaking additional duties as required by the Principal or Vice Principal.
- Fully qualified teacher.
- Passionate and caring educator.
- Bachelor in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification and a minimum of two years teaching experience in the related field.
- Experience with the American curriculum.
- Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community.
- Experience with students for whom English is a second language.
- Positive and solution‑focused attitude to working life.
- A clear and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police clearance.
