Description
The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) area in the Computing and Mathematical Sciences Division at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is looking for passionate and highly motivated Teaching Faculty in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for a six (6) month to one (1) year term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and will also have the opportunity to collaborate with leading AI researchers.
We are seeking faculty at all levels (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) to:
- Deliver courses in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Interaction Design (IxD), Service Design and related areas.
- Develop course materials, including lectures, assignments, exams, and lab exercises.
- Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student interaction and critical thinking.
- Provide timely feedback and academic guidance to students.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Science, Cognitive Science, Design Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
- Demonstrated potential (for Assistant level) or established excellence (for Associate/Full level) in teaching and mentoring.
