Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity, health, fitness, and sportsmanship. The successful candidate will deliver engaging PE lessons, promote student well-being, and contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme.
Key Responsibilities Sports and Extracurricular Activities- Organise and supervise school sports teams, competitions, and tournaments.
- Coordinate inter-school sporting events and activities.
- Promote participation in extracurricular sports and physical activities.
- Assist in planning and delivering sports days, fitness programmes, and school events.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Teach a variety of sports, games, fitness activities, and physical skills appropriate to students' age and ability levels.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Promote active participation, teamwork, discipline, and fair play.
- Integrate health, fitness, and wellness concepts into lessons.
- Assess, monitor, and record student performance and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student development.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and prepare reports as required.
- Support students in setting and achieving personal fitness and performance goals.
- Ensure all PE activities are conducted in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Conduct risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures.
- Supervise students during lessons, sports activities, and off-site events.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Maintain and manage sports equipment and facilities responsibly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g.,
B.Ed., PGCE, Teaching Licence). - Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of physical education curricula and sports coaching practices.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
- Experience teaching an international curriculum (British, Cambridge, IB, American, or equivalent).
- Coaching qualifications in one or more sports disciplines.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience organising school sports programmes and competitions.
- Passion for promoting health, fitness, and student well-being.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational teaching style.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to inspire students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child-centred education.
Must have a minimum of 2
-4 years of school teaching experience in the subject area.(Online teaching or university/college-level teaching is not considered relevant experience.
- Age requirement: 22 to 35 years old.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, with English proficiency equivalent to an IELTS Band score of 7.
