Position: Physical Education Teacher (female)

Aldar Education

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Physical Education to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the 2026‑2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day to day running of the PE department, taking responsibility for administrative tasks, displays and supporting lessons.
  • Monitor and maintain PE equipment and storage.
  • Support PE staff in the creation of lesson resources.
  • Contribute to our extensive school squad provision.
  • Carry out other duties as determined by leadership.
Main Duties
  • Assist the school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions.
  • Comply with regulations related to health and safety, equal opportunities, performance management, child protection, safeguarding and health and safety training.
  • Adhere to the school’s staff dress code and computer Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Attend staff briefings and sign‑out/in at relevant reception.
  • Maintain PE equipment and stock.
  • Prepare resources for lessons.
  • Support teaching and learning in the PE department.
  • Perform basic administration duties for the PE department.
  • Communicate with external agencies regarding fixtures and sports events.
  • Maintain the PE department booking sheet and liaise with PE leadership.
  • Maintain the learning environment in PE.
  • Contribute to school squad provision.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years teaching experience.

  • Previous experience working with students for whom Arabic is not their first language.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • High level of professionalism and consideration of children’s well‑being.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of the school community irrespective of position, gender, age or ethnic background.
  • Positive and solution‑focused attitude to work life.
  • Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
