Learning Support Assistant; Sakina

Responsibilities

• Support the student's learning, in and out of the classroom, including break times and after-school activities as needed.
• Provides 1:1 support to access curriculum and school environment.
• Familiar with the student's IEP and its objectives.
• Liaises with teachers, key workers, and other professionals (e.g. speech and language therapists) as required.
• Helps the student develop independence, communication skills, and confidence.
• Identifies barriers to learning and supports access to the curriculum.
• Supports reading, written work, and completion of set tasks.
• Assists with social integration, group work, and wider school life (clubs, activities, trips).
• Maintains accurate records and contributes to progress reports and review meetings.
• Complies with all relevant policies, including Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Confidentiality.

• Degree-level education in Education, Psychology, Special Education or related field.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Valid UAE Police Clearance Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Discretion and confidentiality essential.
