English Teacher – The British International School Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi, AE.

Our school follows the English national curriculum to IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme post‑16. The successful candidate will inspire students of all ages and abilities, actively participate in extracurricular activities, build and maintain positive relationships with parents, and foster a culture of inspiration, enjoyment, and success.

You are passionate about teaching, maintain a positive mindset, and consistently strive for professional improvement. You possess strong experience with the UK national curriculum (international education experience an advantage), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced international environment, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning.

• Deliver high‑quality lessons across the English curriculum.
• Plan and assess lessons to meet student needs.
• Support student progress and maintain unit planning.
• Develop positive relationships with families and colleagues.
• Participate in school extracurricular and community activities.
• Take part in continuous professional development and programme evaluations.

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, teaching degree, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Strong working knowledge of the UK national curriculum; IB experience a plus.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and openness to collaboration.
