Assistant Professor in Computer Science- Data Science and AI

Job Description

The College of Information Technology (CIT) is seeking an assistant professor in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to build on the strength of its current research programs and create new multidisciplinary research initiatives and partnerships, across and beyond the university campus, critical to its long‑term stability and growth.

We seek faculty candidates with a strong research record in all areas of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with a special emphasis on the theoretical foundations and applications of Data Science and AI/ML in a wide range of fields including Smart Health Systems, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence, and Decision Support Systems. Successful candidates are expected to complement and enhance current research at the College and contribute to the teaching of both undergraduate and graduate courses across programs.

• Hold a Ph.D. degree in computer science, information science or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• Established record of discipline‑specific research publications in internationally recognized journals and conferences.
• Demonstrated experience writing and securing grants and contracts.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching and student supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty across multiple departments and programs.
