Overview
We are hiring a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Homeroom Teacher for FS2/KG1 at our British Curriculum school in Al Ain, UAE. The role is for a female native English speaker with a passion for nurturing young learners in an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children.
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS and British curriculum.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality EYFS lessons.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Observe, assess and monitor children’s progress, maintaining accurate learning records.
- Differentiate learning activities to meet individual developmental needs.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, communication and independent thinking.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
- Participate in school events, meetings, parent consultations and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, health and safety policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or any field, combined with a PGCE or Teaching Diploma in Early Years Education.
- Minimum 2–5 years teaching EYFS / Kindergarten (FS2 / KG1). UK curriculum teaching experience gained in other countries is accepted.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching licence preferred.
- Native English speaker.
- Female applicants only.
- Age 20‑40 (preferred), up to late 40s accepted.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Effective assessment and progress monitoring skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning.
- Passionate about early childhood education.
- Patient, caring, and nurturing.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Positive team player with a collaborative approach.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Nationality Preference: UK, Ireland, South Africa or other Western native English‑speaking countries.
- Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) encouraged to apply.
