• Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate with and communicate effectively with the teaching team and wider school community, fostering positive relationships.
• Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, working with fellow teachers and curriculum support staff.
• Work with parents to support children’s happiness and academic progress.
• Maintain a positive learning environment by organising classroom resources, creating engaging displays, and providing support to learners of all ability levels.
• Reflect on classroom provision, teaching sessions, and student progress, adjusting planning and curriculum accordingly.
• Meet with specialists such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.
• Implement the school's behaviour policy, manage classes effectively, and promote high expectations of behaviour.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating the school's values, attitudes, and appropriate authority.
• Perform duties directed by school policy, including the organisation of school events, outings, and extracurricular activities.
• Run a weekly extracurricular activity each term.
• Use Target Tracker to record student progress, analyse assessment data, and inform future planning and interventions.
• Provide feedback to parents and carers during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers using school systems such as CPOMS.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
• High level of professionalism and regard for the well‑being of children.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
• Positive, solution‑focused attitude to working life.
• Clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Ability to use data to inform teaching and assessment.
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents.
