English Language Teacher (American Curriculum)

International Community Schools (ICS) Al Mushrif Branch is seeking a highly qualified and passionate English Language Teacher to join our academic team for Cycle 2 and Cycle 3. The successful candidate will be dedicated to fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for language and literature, all within the framework of the American curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective English Language Arts (ELA) instruction to students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3.

Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the American Common Core State Standards for ELA.

Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success and school development.

Contribute to the school's extra-curricular program and wider community initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in English, English Literature, Education with an English specialization, or a closely related field from an accredited university.

A Master's Degree in Education or Diploma in Education

Or a valid, professional teaching license from UAE

2. Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in English Language Arts within an American curriculum school setting.

Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations across Cycle 2 (Grades 5-8) and Cycle 3 (Grades 9-12).

Proven track record of fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Experience with integrating technology effectively into the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.

3. Skills Required:

Technical Skills:

Expertise in instructional methodologies , including differentiated instruction, inquiry-based learning, and authentic assessment strategies.

Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and digital resources to support teaching and learning.

Strong analytical skills for student data interpretation and instructional planning.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
